Health is important for the wellbeing of leisure horses and essential for high-performance animals. Together with ideal keeping conditions, feeding adapted to performance is necessary. This is best done with this specially optimised pure vegetable oil mixture – SpezialHorse Öl!
Its tested and proved advantages:
- Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung provides up to three times the digestible energy of cereal grains. This allows to compensate for the excess of carbohydrates and / or proteins found in many rations. Metabolic disorders due to excesses with overload of liver and kidneys are avoided. This means less problems of swollen legs, laminitis and colics. Risks from tying up to set-fast may be minimised (1) as well.
- Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung helps to build up too thin horses with balanced rations. A beautiful and shiny coat is the outer sign of an ideal feeding.
- Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung in dosage as recommended also covers the need for monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fattyacids. The antioxidant vitamin E found in vegetable oils is of essential importance regarding the high content of unsaturated fatty acids.In addition, Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischungalso promotes the absorption
of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) contained in the other fodder. This is in particular important for the vitamins A and E the need of which must be covered by the fodder
Fat digestion should mainly take place in the small intestine.(2) Lecithin naturally found in vegetable oils helps to emulsify the fats / oils taken in with the fodder in the small intestine. Horses do not have a gall-bladder that stores the bile salts and lecithins secreted in the liver cells. Their bile together with the pancreatic juices directly flows into the duodenum, approximately 15 cm after the pylorus. Horses normally are still able to digest oil up to 200 g per 100 kg body weight.
Excess of carbohydrates and /or proteins, conversion and synthesis of metabolic products, detoxification of mycotoxins and endotoxins, mistakes in feeding – so the normal case often is disturbed which may be reduced using Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung.
- Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung gives the horse a bit of nature lost. Today’s unbalanced and partially highly dunged and fertilised cattle pastures have a small species diversity; in particular species of clover and herbs are crowded out. Such meadows often haveless than 20 plant species. In horse-friendly meadows, however, 100 or even more species are found. Both meadows have approx. 35 g fat in the dry matter, but the larger the species diversity, the higher the content of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids particularly important for the immune system and health. Spezial Horse Öl Mischung compensates for this shortage by providing a well-balanced omega-3 : omega-6 fatty acids of 1 : 5 which does not result in interactions between the fatty acids even in case of higher dosages. Therefore rule out a lack of these fatty acids in case of pathological symptoms of any kind. Do not administer unbalanced oils ballyhooed as special synthesis of prostaglandins or eicosanoids. Thanks to the daily dosage of Spezial Horse-Öl-Mischung, the horse has sufficient basic substances for the endogenic synthesis of these substances only possible through oil.
